Bagpipe Music
Bagpipe music is similar to many other genres of music.

Anyone interested in learning to play the Great Highland Bagpipe, or learning Scottish Drumming is encouraged to come watch a rehearsal and see what it is all about. If you’re not interested in learning an instrument but just want to listen to the band, that’s fine too. Our rehearsals are open to the public and we encourage people to attend.

Lessons occur from 6:00 -6:45 p.m. and rehearsals are held from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings at Coolidge Park in Chattanooga. Someone is usually there by 6:00 p.m.  Please check for the latest information on our FaceBook page.

While learning to play the bagpipes well is a difficult task, it is by no means impossible, especially for those who can play other instruments.

To help foster an interest and love for the music, Chattanooga Pipes & Drums offers bagpipe or highland drumming instruction to people of any skill level.

Chattanooga Pipe Band is currently a Grade 4 competition in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association.

The band has some of the best musicians in the Southeast and takes the business of membership very seriously. This is a primary reason that we had been at the very top of our grade level in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association for the better part of a
decade.  We are currently rebuilding and will return to the top again!

If you have the drive and motivation to work hard and practice often, we would love have you as a member of the band.
