Anyone interested in learning to play the Great Highland Bagpipe, or learning Scottish Drumming is encouraged to come watch a rehearsal and see what it is all about. If you’re not interested in learning an instrument but just want to listen to the band, that’s fine too. Our rehearsals are open to the public and we encourage people to attend.
Rehearsals are typically held at 6:30pm on Thursday evenings at Coolidge Park in Chattanooga, weather permitting. Please check for the latest information on our Facebook page.
To help foster an interest and love for the music, Chattanooga Pipes & Drums offers bagpipe or highland drumming instruction to people of any skill level.
Chattanooga Pipe Band currently has Grade 4 and Grade 5 bands in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association.
The band has some of the best musicians in the Southeast and takes the business of membership very seriously. This is a primary reason that we had been at the very top of our grade level in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association for the better part of a decade. We are currently rebuilding and will return to the top again!
If you have the drive and motivation to work hard and practice often, we would love have you as a member of the band.
